The Coalition Against Racism criticizes the
intimidation tactic adopted by the creators of this new campaign from
"Commanders for the Security of Israel.” In a statement by the Director of
the Coalition, Att. Nidal Othman: "it is a campaign of incitement that
treats Arabs as a demographic threat and relies on that as a scare tactic.
Unfortunately, this campaign does not promote political equality or peace. The mere fact that it is built on fear of the
other will only encourage hate and will cause damage, first to the Jews who
strive for peace and then to the victims of racism in general.”
250 people joined the campaign, “Separate from
the Palestinians – Now.” The campaign was spread throughout the country,
especially in Tel Aviv.
It was revealed that one of the people who joined
is former Mossad Director, Shabtai Shavit, as well as Dan Halutz and former
chief of police, Assaf Hefetz.
The movement, "Commanders for the Security
of Israel,” was established after the Paris Summit. The goal of the movement is to revive the
peace attempts between the Israelis and Palestinians.
The movement posted billboards and newspaper ads
in Arabic that state, “Soon We Will Be a Majority,” and a logo that states,
